Having worked in the transportation industry (both private and public sector corporations) since 1983, Rebecca Cherry decided in 1995 to start a professional management consulting firm offering services in fleet operations and compliance matters involving DOT (FMCSA and FTA) requirements.  Ms. Cherry’s company, Cherry Consulting of the Carolinas, Inc. (3C, Inc.), is a nationally known entity that conducts fleet program assessments, organizational studies, operational policies and procedures development, training, and internal audits and surveys to an array of clients; primarily trucking companies, public transit systems, and insurance companies of transportation fleets.

After being asked over the years why she did not own any equipment herself, Ms. Cherry asked herself the same question.  After months of market research, she found a niche for private charter mini-buses in the Metropolitan Charlotte, NC region. 

In June 1999, MY Bus, a d/b/a of Cherry Consulting of the Carolinas, Inc., applied and obtained authority from the Department of Transportation / Office of Motor Carrier as a ‘common carrier’ for passenger transports.

After 10 years of growth and service in the Southeast, MY Bus has moved its office, as of 15 June 2009. Says Rebecca Cherry, President, "It's been a ride...but a positive one for the future."
